2009 saw a change in format for the Open Day, with the emphasis shifting from the 95th BG to include the 13th Combat Wing. The theme was “Somewhere in England”, including visitors from the 95th, 100th and 390th Bomb Groups, trip were arranged to Thorpe Abbotts and Parham (Framlingham) museums.
  On the way from Heathrow the tour also went to Bassingbourne and the American Cemetery at Maddingley. An unexpected flyover was provided by B17G “Sally B”, during the lunch stop, as it was performing engine tests in the area, prior to it’s visit to Horham and the first airshow of the season at Duxford.
   Day trips were also arranged to Sandringham House and Bury St Edmunds.
A banquet at Framlingham College took place on Friday 15th May.
